Have you heard of Laminin? It’s a protein molecule. You have to watch the video….

Published by under Inspiration

I just came home from the gym with my trainer.  It was a good workout but I got something better.  He told me to check out Laminin on Youtube.  You see, my trainer and I share stories and experiences while we’re working out.  He’s a Christian too and we got into talking.  On his iPod, he’s got bible verses that he’s trying to memorize.  He was showing it to me when he remembered about Laminin.  He told me to check it out.

Guess what I found.  It was the most amazing short clip I have ever seen in a long time.  Don’t get too carried away yet in the beginning.  Wait until the middle of the video… this one is one great story.

Published by under Charity,Inspiration

Hello everyone, I would like to extend Eduvie’s invitation to help out a child in need.  They are holding a charity event to provide a surprise package to Crystal.  If you’d like to participate, please read the email below and send in your contributions to the address provided.  Thanks everyone!

—————-

We are hosting a Birthday Package benefitting a child who is staying at the Los Angeles Mission House. My daughter is celebrating her 7th birthday this Sept and we thought it would be a great time for her to learn lesson in charity by giving a surprise birthday package to another girl born in the same month who is suffering unfortunate circumstance at this point in her life.
We are putting together a surprise package for this little girl named Crystal. She is at the Mission staying with her mom and two brothers. The family fled Texas from domestic violence and came to Los Angeles looking for shelter and better life. She will be turning 12yrs old this Sept. She loves music, math, movies and games. She loves pizza, mexican food and hamburger. She has entered 7th grade and is in need of school items such as backpack and school supplies. She is size Small-Medium in clothes and shoe size is 8.
I invite all to participate in this unique benefit event.
We are working with Los Angeles Mission and they are thrilled about this gesture.
You can send your gift or monetary donation for Crystal before Sept 31st at:

An inspirational story..

Published by under Inspiration

I read this email chain before and sometimes I don’t really pay attention to these. But this one got me. It was sent to me by a dear friend from High School. It has been ages since I’ve seen her but we still keep in touch. She sends me inspirational stuff once in a while and I send her stuff as well.

I think that we need to share positive and inspirational stories like this here…

Our prayers goes out to those who are going through rough times..

Published by under Inspiration

As a family, we all need to be aware of what everyone is going through so that we can offer our prayers to God collectively for faster healing, or better employment, and so forth.

Last week we heard that PeeJay (Annie’s firstborn) was hospitalized due to complaints of stomach pains.  It turns out from the diagnosis that he has an enlarge heart and exposed to liver problems as well.

We also heard that Annie injured herself while building “balikbayan boxes” for our families back home.

Jeremy (Divina’s youngest)  accidentally fractured his arm as well while on a trip to a Museum.

These are things that we need to lift up in prayers to God.  So, if you would like to share news that would benefit from our prayers, please let us know.  Remember, “When two or three are gathered in His name, there is He in their midst.”

A very touching video that I received from a Christian friend.

Published by under Inspiration

Have you guys heard or Godtube.com? It’s a place where inspirational videos are stored and shared by many people of the Christian faith. It’s exactly like Youtube.com except that it is centered around Christianity.

I received an email from one of my friends here in South Jersey. The video is indeed very touching and I shared it with you all at our Yahoo Groups. If you didn’t see it, here’s the video again. It’s about a father’s love for his son. Very touching indeed.

A purpose driven life – shared by Kuya Rommel Dominguez

Published by under Inspiration

Kuya Rommel shared a very good story about Rick Warren, the author of the book ” A Purpose Driven Life”. I thought it was a great read so I wanted to share it with the family. We sometimes forget that there is Someone else we need to answer to. That our life here on earth is really just a “dress rehearsal”. It’s a practice on how we will live life throughout eternity. Read on, enjoy and hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Rick Warren (REMEMBER HE WROTE ‘PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE’). You will enjoy the new insights that Rick Warren has, with his wife now having cancer and him having ‘wealth’ from the book sales. This is an absolutely incredible short interview with Rick Warren, ‘Purpose Driven Life ‘ author and pastor of Saddleback Church in California

How is your relationship with your dad? Dads? How about your relationship with your sons?

Published by under Inspiration

I received an email from a friend here in New Jersey. Ate Josie met her once before. She used to be the owner of a Filipino Restaurant in South Jersey called “Kamayan”. I know that Ate Josie and (ironically) Sister Josie hit it off really well because at the time Sister Josie was selling her restaurant, she had found out she has breast cancer. Ate Josie, being a breast cancer survivor – was able to give her comfort and told her that everything is going to be alright.

Well, after treatment and weeks of chemotherapy – Sister Josie is now a breast cancer survivor as well. She is also a Christian and shared the email with me. Read the inspiring story and watch the inspiring video.

Pinoy Pride: Arnel Pineda – Pinoy Lead singer for Journey

Published by under Inspiration

Arnel Pineda has become a household name. I’m sure everyone has heard of how he was picked to be the lead singer for Journey when they discovered his video on Youtube.com. It must have been a dream come true for Arnel Pineda when at one point, he survived the streets of Manila living as a boy picking up scraps from the streets.

This story really inspires knowing that if we put our souls into something we believe in, we will find that pot of gold in the end. Don’t forget to dream.

Just watch the CBS Morning Show interview of Arnel Pineda and be inspired.

A video to inspire – and to motivate. Life is worth it!

Published by under Inspiration

We had our company “State of the Nation” address last week. I listed to our CEO boast about how well our company is doing despite the odds with the economy. He showed us how our company is progressing and continue to grow even when all the odds are against us. Something at the end of his speech caught my attention and thought it would be great to share with all of you.

It is called the Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. He is a Mellon University Professor. Each year, the professor’s are tasked to give one “Last Lecture” to impart to their students. It is a requirement after all. The only difference is, Randy Pausch was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is truly dying. The video has become viral and Randy has been invited to guest on Oprah already. Here is the lecture that he gave to his students. I hope you’ll find it inspiring as well as enlightening.

Watch the video after the JUMP

He is still alive today and recently returned to Mellon University to give inspiring words to the graduates of 2008.
