Happy Birthday Ate Agnes!!!

Published by under Birthdays

What’s the difference between Kuya Joe and Ate Agnes?  Lipstick!  Hahaha!

I would like to take this opportunity to greet our wonderful and loving Ate of all a happy happy birthday.

Not everyone who visits this blog knows our sister, Agnes.  She is the eldest daughter of the late Ding and Nena Dominguez.  The oldest of ten siblings, Ate Agnes migrated to the U.S. at the age of nineteen I believe.  Ever since she stepped into the land of milk and honey, she has never stopped providing for her siblings.  She remembered all of our birthdays every year.  I remember as a kid, I used to look forward to her “registered” letter during my birthday month.   This is because I know, in it I will find a bill.  Be it a five dollar bill or a 100 dollar bill (it goes up every year), it has always been a delight.

Now, it’s time for us to return the favor.  She didn’t want to be surprised during her ‘tieth birthday so we had to cancel our plans to give her a surprise birthday party.  What do you all think we should do this time around?

In any case – - ATE AGNES, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM ALL OF US!

May you have many many more to come!

Our wishes to Tita Dely – who will be celebrating her birthday on Thursday, June 12th.  You are so blessed.  We celebrate with the Tanchico Family with this great milestone.  We wish you more happy and healthy years to come~!

Tita Dely,

Another Year
I’m wishing you another year
Of laughter, joy and fun,
Surprises, love and happiness,
And when your birthday’s done,
I hope you feel deep in your heart,
As your birthdays come and go,
How very much you mean to me,
More than you can know.

Tita Dely’s birthday is coming up…

Published by under Birthdays

We are calling on the Tanchicos to please share pictures of the event.  It will be Tita Dely’s 85th birthday celebration next week and I heard that a lot of the cousins are getting together for the event.  It is a great milestone and we pray for more years for Tita Dely and we wish her good health and long life.

I know that Ate Corrie from Canada will go home to the Philippines for the occasion.   Ate Corrie – please don’t forget to send us pictures and if you can take videos, please send us some as well.  We will post it here on our blog for everyone to see.  I think Toba’s birthday is this month as well.  Happy birthday to you as well Toba!!

Happy Birthday Tita Dely!

Kuya Omeng to celebrate his birthday on June 16th.

Published by under Birthdays

Romeo Uy (Josie Dominguez’s husband known to us as Kuya Omeng) will be celebrating his birthday on June 16th.  Well-wishers are welcome to comment on this site.  There are no plans yet if there will be a celebration in New York.

Calling on Ate Josie – if you are planning for a party, please let us all know and we will make arrangements to attend.   I cannot attend because I’m out of the country but I can post the details here for people to see.

Let us know!!

The Dominguez-Garcia family paid me a visit over the weekend.

Published by under Birthdays

Binday, Larry and kids were over at my place yesterday.  They wanted to greet me a Happy Birthday.  I wish I had more time to spend with them but my friends had planned on taking me out for my birthday that evening.   Jessica, Joshua, Jillian and Jeremy gave me a big hug and we had dinner at home.

I received greetings by phone from Kuya Rey, Ate Agnes and Oliver as well.  Thank you!

I started my birthday early yesterday.  I went to hear mass at St. Rita de Cascia church in Center City Philadelphia, then a few friends had lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant courtesy of a friend of mine.  Thanks Bugs!   (Yes, that’s the English version of his name.  The original?  Budigoy!  Haha!)

Here are several pictures taken from the church and the Philadelphia Art Museum area.
