The evolution of search engines.

Published by sanglahi under Family Reunions

If you’re a blogger or a webmaster, you know how it is to keep and maintain a website or blog. You work hard to get your blog or site recognized so it can generate traffic. You register your site in social networking sites to get more people to visit and hopefully purchase your products and at least get to know your product.

A new Search Engine called AAfter is a different kind of search engine. The benefits they offer are almost unreal. Imagine getting cash back from any product that you buy online if you purchase it using their search engine? This is on top of any savings already offered by the online merchant.. and the merchants are your regular and often visited merchants already. They show the you actual cashback you will receive on the page where you are buying your product.

And if your a blogger or a webmaster, you know spammers and people who visit your site only to create havoc. The search engine of AAfter.com provides you a tool called. IP Geo Location Tools for Webmasters or Bloggers. If you want to trace anyone, just input their IP Address and the site will provide you the IP details, Location, and even go as far as telling you if the IP address is black-listed.

These are only a few features out of many features from this search engine. Give it a try – - I personally like the cash-back feature as I buy many things online. Give us feedback and let us know.

Are you interested in the Financial Markets?

Published by sanglahi under Family Reunions

To anyone who’s been watching the stock market, you may have seen its ups and downs and wonder, how does it really work? Or, you may be one who already knows a bit about the market and would like to hone your skills in trading. You may also be a beginner who’s interested to make millions by trading in the financial markets but don’t know how and where to begin.

Put all your fears aside and play the virtual stock market game. It will allow you to play and see how you do by buying shares and stocks in a game format while trading those stocks in real time. There’s play money involved so it is similar to paper trading. The risk is very low because all you have to do is pay a small fee to play. You will be given virtual money to be used for trading. If you don’t know anything about stock market trading, you may want to get started here for practice. Then if you do well, you may then trade for real.

You can join a tournament where people play against each other and whoever ends up with the most gains, wins. You can win cash prizes as well so there is really nothing much to lose. Play for fun or play to learn. This may just be the tool you’re looking for.

Shopping for a new watch for Father’s Day?

Published by sanglahi under Family Reunions

Before you know it, Father’s day comes right after our celebration of Mother’s day next month. We usually concentrate on Mother’s day and try to find gifts for mom early in the year. We do sometimes neglect celebrating Father’s day.

This is a simple reminder to everyone to please not forget your dads. Better yet, it’s a reminder to the wives out there as well. If you’re looking for gifts – you may want to start early and get it out of the way now than rushing at the last minute.

Most dads would like to have something that lasts and what better way to do that by giving them a watch. A timeless piece that every man enjoys receiving most specially if it’s a brand like Rolex or Breitling. The watch defines the man as they often say. If it’s within your budget, visit. www.bestoftime.com and take a look. They have great bargains that you will find tempting if not outright the perfect deal for your gift. It’s easy as shopping at home.

It’s vacation time people..

Published by sanglahi under Family Reunions

Summer is around the corner for those of us living here in the US (Except for our relatives in California who has the best weather in all of the US). Vacation plans are in full swing. I know that Ate Marita Lavarias-Phillips will be vacationing in Manila sometime soon. I heard that she will be moving to Japan after that — somewhat similar to Maridee and Arnel. Not sure when they are coming back to the US.

You may have also heard about Peejay Dominguez and Krishna getting married in Cebu this August. I’m sure it will be a blast for those who can make it. No worries for the people who can’t – they are planning a US wedding celebration as well

Does anyone else know of anyone traveling to Manila this year? Please give us a shout out..

What do you think we should do with our family website?

Published by sanglahi under Family Reunions

Are you tired of the look of our website? I chose this template from a selection of free templates available on the net. It’s the best I could do for free. The problem with free stuff, is you get what you get. There are some customization that you can do but not knowing html codes, or scripts – it can be quite challenging. I want our family website to look more professional and a lot cleaner than it looks today. I was thinking of hiring a professional web site designer who can work our our site and do wonders with it.

So, I went online and checked out several web design companies. Of course, this time we will have to pay for it so it needs careful evaluation of web design companies that are available out there. This time, I would ask everyone’s help to review a company which I believe could help us get our site to where we want it to be. Please check out Web Site Design Denver Colorado by Notion3 and see if the services they offer fits well with what we have to do. I was hoping that we can get this done before summer gets here. That is the time that our website gets traffic from our relatives all over the world. I think they are trying to find out if anything is going on, like reunions, bar-b-q’s, parties and vacations.

When you get the chance, check them out and let me know if we should go ahead and get started. The company has a lot to offer such as web design, logo creation, and particularly Search Engine Optimization as well. We can do a lot more with our site. Just let me know what you think guys…

Weddings..weddings…weddings…

Published by sanglahi under Family Reunions

There’s a lot going on with the family this year. We have at least two members of the family getting married, namely Rachel Uy (2nd daughter of Josie Dominguez-Uy) and Peejay Dominguez (One and only son of Annie Dominguez). I do have the exact dates posted on my refrigerator but I know that Peejay is getting married in August to be held in Cebu, Philippines (anyone going?) and Rachel Uy getting married in November. I feel like I’m missing someone else who’s getting married. If so, please do leave a comment here and I will post the dates.

It’s a fun time for families when they celebrate a birthday, a wedding anniversary or a wedding. We should count it as one of the good blessings that we have received from up above. It’s a time to get together, share and build memories together.

I am not going to organize a reunion but if anyone is up for one, I am encouraging you to start it off now before summer gets here… it’s only a couple of months away..

Where can you buy compression connectors?

Published by sanglahi under Family Reunions

When I used to work for a car cell phone company with Kuya Rey back in the 80s, one of the problems I had was crimping the cables that go into the tranceiver of the car phone. Yes, during those days, Car Phones had a separate tranceiver and you had to line the cables underneath the carpeting. That was a hoot! Har-har!

Recently, a new type of connector has become popular. They are called compression connectors. Compression f connectors from ICM are easy to install. You simply have to have the right crimping tool and you can effectively install one of these easily. There are patented 360 degree compression rings on the connectors as well that provide industry-leading compression. These compression connectors are available online. Visit http://compressionconnector.com. They sell all types of connectors including RCA connectors, BNC and F connectors. Finding comppression connectors couldn’t be easier. Check them out.

It’s Lola Chayong’s Death Anniversary today – April 16th.

Published by sanglahi under In Memoriam

We all know our Lola Chayong dearly (at least anyone who was born before 1980).  Most of the people in Baclaran knows her as well as she is one of the icons there teaching kids at her mini-school along Tomas Claudio.

Our Lola Chayong is one who had unswayed integrity, big-hearted and loved by all who came in contact with her.  Today marks her death anniversary.

Calling our relatives in Manila to please visit her gravesite on our behalf.  We, on the other hand will offer prayers for the repose of her soul.

We love you LOLA!
