We keep talking about having our own business. We explored opening a restaurant here in New Jersey but the time it will take to make that business a success would be more than it’s worth. First, we have to make sure that we have enough personnel to handle the day-to-day needs of the restaurant. Ate Josie thought about traveling to New Jersey every weekend to cook but a restaurant that functions only on weekend is less than likely to be successful. We tossed the idea and decided to move on.
With the dwindling economy, it may be scary to start a business. I remember speaking with Max about re-opening the Maharlika Restaurant in Manhattan. The same thing. We need to establish the business from the ground up. And that’s not an easy feat.
So, I want to make a suggestion. Maybe we can look into Franchise Opportunities. These are business that are already established, well-known in the industry and already has the blueprint all mapped out. Franchises usually charge only a small royalty fee but it includes advertising costs, and keeping the name and trademark of the business in excellent condition. There are many opportunities and if anyone is interested, maybe we could all take a look and see what we can come up with. I know Ate Vina wants to leave the corporate world and take care of kids. Eduvie wants to be successful in real estate and other investments.
Why don’t we all put our heads together, review franchise opportunities and decide? Who knows, we may end up with a gold mine.

What’s the difference between Kuya Joe and Ate Agnes? Lipstick! Hahaha!
I would like to take this opportunity to greet our wonderful and loving Ate of all a happy happy birthday.
Not everyone who visits this blog knows our sister, Agnes. She is the eldest daughter of the late Ding and Nena Dominguez. The oldest of ten siblings, Ate Agnes migrated to the U.S. at the age of nineteen I believe. Ever since she stepped into the land of milk and honey, she has never stopped providing for her siblings. She remembered all of our birthdays every year. I remember as a kid, I used to look forward to her “registered” letter during my birthday month. This is because I know, in it I will find a bill. Be it a five dollar bill or a 100 dollar bill (it goes up every year), it has always been a delight.
Now, it’s time for us to return the favor. She didn’t want to be surprised during her ‘tieth birthday so we had to cancel our plans to give her a surprise birthday party. What do you all think we should do this time around?
In any case – - ATE AGNES, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM ALL OF US!
May you have many many more to come!

Probably, not everyone here knows that I have been blogging for over a year now. I am maintaining several blogs including our Sanglahi.com blog. From these blogs, I have made a little over fourteen thousand dollars in a year’s time. I am encouraging members of the family, specially those in the Philippines to take this opportunity.
There are many money-making opportunities online that could provide you an extra income on the side. It isn’t that hard really. I sent Kuya Rommel a brand new laptop so he could be encouraged as well. I know many Filipino bloggers who are making a decent living by blogging. One OFW from Saudi Arabia actually returned to the Philippines because his blogging income had exceeded his salary in Saudi. Imagine that.
Join an Affiliate Network, and many other programs to get your feet wet. The programs pay you in different times of the month so you can have a continuous income stream simply by blogging.
If you need help, let me know. I can always assist you in getting started. It does take hard work, don’t get me wrong. But the reward is great. Create a blog today.

Hello all! Are you currently single? Looking for a date? I’m sure Ate Agnes will find this really exciting because I heard that there is a service specializing in Christian Dating. If you have certain convictions and you believe that it is better for you to date someone who shares the same faith and ideals, here’s some good news for you.
Like any Christian, you may be looking for someone whom you can share not only your love but your faith as well. You may be looking for someone who likes going to church on Sundays and who listens to Christian music. Now you can. So if you’re out there, looking for that special someone – this may be the chance for you.

I was browsing online the other day looking for a replacement screen door for my patio. It’s annoying because the old screen door that the previous home owner had is already old and doesn’t slide very well anymore. I came across a site specializing on retractable screen doors. I had to take a second look because it peaked my interest as to how the screen retracts.
I found out that they have a multitude of products including a screen that you can install on your garage doors and could make your garage a party space as well. This is particularly good because it can keep out the insects from entering your garage during nice summer parties or even use your garage as a workshop without the mosquitoes! The screen doors retracts and may be stowed away during inclement weather! Isn’t that an amazing invention? When you think that everything in the world has been invented already, things like this come up and I am super-amazed.
To all you folks out there, specially the relatives living on the west coast – this product is perfect for you! Since you have the good weather all year round, you might as well invest in this. Check it out! You might like it as well.

Alright folks. We have finally decided a venue where we will spend Christmas this year. It will be celebrated at the lovely home of Kuya Omeng and Ate Josie Uy! We are putting the final touches on the plans and we will be publishing it here as well as sending it via email using our Yahoo Groups distribution list.
If you haven’t done so already, we would like you to check your schedules. December 24th falls on a Wednesday this year. You may want to tak the 24th, 25th and 26th off so we could all spend a weekend together. Imagine a stroll on 5th Avenue in New York during Christmas…
Gift giving will be decided upon in the next few days. Initial thoughts were – anyone under 11 years of age gets a present from the adults. Anyone 12 years and older gets to be part of the Monito-Monita.
Give us some ideas!!! We’re ready to rock and roll!

Do you all know how this blog came about? Remember the times during the 80s when we wanted to establish a family credit union? It was a way for us to save funds for any member of the family for their time of need. It could have been successful but living in several different states within the U.S. hindered much of the plan’s progress. We ended up dissolving the idea and it simply remained as a blog now for anyone in the family to share their news and family stories.
I would say that even though we dissolved the family credit union, there are other ways for us to get help financially when necessary. There is this type of loan called a Payday Loan. It is simply designed to bridge the gap between paydays if and when it is necessary. We sometimes come up short in cash due to unforeseen circumstances. I am simply sharing that there are ways we can get loans today. Regardless whether you have good or bad credit, you can still get an
Auto Loan today? They have specific loans designed for each individual. If you are in need of cash, having the Sanglahi Credit Union would have been excellent but now that we don’t have it, look online. The programs are out there.

Ahah~! Did you know that Divorce Records may now be found online? It is a service where you can search an individual’s name and find out whether he/she has had a divorce anytime in his life. You can do the search locally or nationally!!
Anyone out there with anything to hide? You might want to take a look at the site and see if the records you see are accurate. Names can be confused with middle name, surnames and all that. If you happen to live in the same state with a person of the same exact name.. your name may show up. Try it.. see what results it gives you.

I read this email chain before and sometimes I don’t really pay attention to these. But this one got me. It was sent to me by a dear friend from High School. It has been ages since I’ve seen her but we still keep in touch. She sends me inspirational stuff once in a while and I send her stuff as well.
I think that we need to share positive and inspirational stories like this here…
