How is your relationship with your dad? Dads? How about your relationship with your sons?

I received an email from a friend here in New Jersey. Ate Josie met her once before. She used to be the owner of a Filipino Restaurant in South Jersey called “Kamayan”. I know that Ate Josie and (ironically) Sister Josie hit it off really well because at the time Sister Josie was selling her restaurant, she had found out she has breast cancer. Ate Josie, being a breast cancer survivor – was able to give her comfort and told her that everything is going to be alright.

Well, after treatment and weeks of chemotherapy – Sister Josie is now a breast cancer survivor as well. She is also a Christian and shared the email with me. Read the inspiring story and watch the inspiring video.

What a father wouldn’t do for his son, with God’s divine interference..

A son asked his father, ‘Dad, will you take part in a
marathon with me?’ The father who, despite having a
heart condition, says ‘Yes’.

They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and
son went on to join other marathons, the father always
saying ‘Yes’ to his son’s request of going
through the race together.

One day, the son asked his
father, ‘Dad, let’s join the Iron man together.’
To which, his father said ‘Yes’ too.

For those who don’t know, Iron man is the toughest
triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile
(3.86 kilometer) ocean swim,followed by a 112 mile (180.2
kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195
kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island .
Father and son went on to complete the race together.
