Memories of home.

I have learned to love wall clocks because of a clock that we had at Tomas Claudio when we were growing up. I think it’s a clock owned by Lolo Cardo. It is a post war Seth Thomas clock that is quite rare nowadays. I learned how to tell time from that clock and to this day, I have been looking for a replica but I can’t find one.

I saw a few on eBay but even those weren’t immaculately preserved and it costs a lot of money. I do want one because it reminds me of home. If I do want to get one, maybe I should go to wall clock discounts where I can buy high quality wall clocks at a great price. It just seems that clocks have a way to brighten your room.

I thought about getting a Grandfather Clock and even with very little space within my living and dining rooms, I will find a way to make space. There are other great clocks out there but the most striking to me were the Howard Miller Clocks. It has different chimes that would ring at the top of every hour. Just like the Seth Thomas wall clock that we had while growing up, you wind it manually every 12 days I think or something like that..

It just reminds me so much of my childhood in Baclaran. The wall clock served as a picture of the good old days for me. It reminds me of Lola and Lolo and the rest of the cousins running around the house. That was a very long time ago.
